eJukebox Privacy Policy
Musicbot Pty Ltd, trading as eJukebox. Effective 3 September 2026.
eJukebox is a music system installed in pubs, clubs and bars. This policy covers the eJukebox Request app (for patrons), the eJukebox Admin app (for venue staff) and the venue web pages at *.ejukebox.net.
What the Request app uses
- Location (while using the app). Used only to confirm you are at a participating venue before a song request is accepted, and to suggest the venue nearest to you. Your location is checked against the venue's position and is not stored as a history or sold.
- Song requests and dedications. The song you pick, an optional first name, and an optional short voice dedication are sent to the venue's music system so they can be played. Dedications are checked automatically for offensive content before they play.
- Photos you choose to share. If you send a photo to a venue's screens, it is stored by the venue's eJukebox system, may be reviewed by venue staff and may be shown on the venue's screens and, where the venue has enabled it, on the eJukebox social media account. Only photos you choose to upload are ever accessed.
- Spotify (optional). If you connect Spotify, we read your playlists to match songs against the venue's library. We do not post to your account.
- Notifications (optional). If you allow them, they are used only to tell you about the venue you are at.
What the Admin app uses
- Your sign-in. Venue staff sign in with the venue password or with Google, Microsoft or Apple. We store the email address and name your provider shares, which venue you belong to, your role, and when you signed in. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we store the relay address Apple provides.
- Microphone. Used only while you go live on the venue's speakers or record an announcement, and only when you start it.
- Face ID / Touch ID. Optional, handled entirely by your phone; we never receive biometric data.
- Notifications. Song requests, access requests and player alerts for your venue.
- Diagnostics. The app keeps a short technical log (network calls, errors, no message content) that it sends to your venue's eJukebox server to help support fix problems.
Who sees it
Information goes to the venue you are using and to eJukebox, who operates the system for the venue. We use Microsoft Azure (Australia) to host it. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.
Keeping and deleting it
Request data is kept by the venue's system for its operational history. Photos can be removed by venue staff at any time. Staff accounts are removed by a venue administrator or on request. To ask for access to or deletion of your information, email info@ejukebox.com.au.
Children
The apps are for venues that serve adults. They are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
